PostSubject: Roe buck   Thu May 19, 2011 7:02 am

This morning the Bear bow got in action Smile

I was on the spot in the rape field and the buck was comming against me, but 15 meter from me he dissapear

I was soooo ready and I try to look after him but no buck Sad

Suddently I saw some movement in the yellop rape behind me, there was a big area where the rape is very low, and the buck came out 10 meter from me looking at me Shocked

I draw and fire in the same time and I hit him a little high and he ran 40 meter and then he turned around 10 times, like a dog before it lays down, and then he die and I got the last part on my video

Not the shot because the cam is low and it only see some yellow rape, but the rest is on film Cool

And the pink yarn in the arrow worked great, so easy to find the arrow bounce

After turning around many times....

Speciel thropy....

I guess my arrow is near....

Happy Olsen....

I cut of the antler at home, and again a buck with a lot of pubs in the throat Crying or Very sad

Is the meat safe to eat if the deer is infested with Pubs? I would think you are doing the deer a service by putting it out of its misery if you found them in its head. Yuck.

They look huge how big is a Bot fly?

What do you do with the carcase if it is nit useable?

do you have to report this to anyone? Here in Virginia every deer has to be logged and inspected due to some diseases. If found to be infected the deer must be burned.(the game warden takes it and burns it.)

Most times you can log your kill on-line and if you find any thing wrong you bring it in.

Anything like that there?

Will

The meat is fine, I got a lot of steaks in the freezer now Smile

Is normal here and no need to report anything about the bot fly, when they are grown and try to get out the nose they are like half of my little finger Shocked

I really hate them, and sometime you can hear the deer couaf like a crazy Sad
